Charlie Bernier, along with Gloria Forbes and Rick Eckert, assumed ownership of this independent firm in January, 2001. Their combined vision was to bring national account services to all of their clients cost-efficiently, and they have been doing so ever since. ECBM participates in many different community service and charity events that touch the lives of our employees and serve our community including St. Baldrick's FoundationCradles To Crayons, Operation First Response, The Conshohocken Little League, The Borough of West Conshohocken, local food bank charities, The Arc of Hundterdon County, MuckFest MS for The National MS Society, and The National Kidney Foundation's Kidney Walk.

Shane Moran, Vice President At ECBM says, "Many of ECBM’s employees and their families enjoy various outdoor activities; including hiking the trails of the Wissahickon Valley.  So what better way to give back then to support an organization like the  WVWA; who’s goal is to restore and preserve the very same nature trails that many of ECBM’s employees enjoy on a regular basis?"

The Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association (WVWA) is a non-profit land trust founded in 1957 to protect the quality and beauty of the Wissahickon Creek.

More About The Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association (WVWA)

In 1957 a small, committed group of local leaders conceived the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association to address the dangers of flooding posed by the Creek.  They understood the interconnectedness of the water, the land and the inhabitants of the Watershed.  Since then the Watershed has changed dramatically but the mission and the dreams remain the same.

The mission of the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association is to protect the quality and the beauty of the Wissahickon Creek and to enhance all life in the Wissahickon Watershed by:

  • Protecting and enhancing open space and natural areas in the Watershed and providing opportunities for the enjoyment of these natural areas

  • Promoting awareness and appreciation of environmental issues through education so that the community can make sound choices for a sustainable, ecologically healthy future

  • Promoting wise land use and management of natural resources in the Watershed, especially when dealing with issues which affect the water quality of the Wissahickon Creek

  • Preserving historic and cultural sites that are of significance to the Wissahickon Creek
